My First Solo Exhibition in Japan
In January 2027, I will hold my first solo exhibition in Japan, in Yokohama.
This is a very special event for me, not only because I will be presenting my paintings to a Japanese audience for the first time, but also because my move to Japan marks the beginning of a new chapter in my artistic life.
Many people know me as Konstantin Plotnikov — the name under which I worked and exhibited in Europe for many years.
Now I have taken a new artistic name: Hikari Umihiko | 光 海彦.
Nepturius remains the name of my artistic world — a world of fantasy, space, oceans, light, and dreams.
I was born in Belarus and spent many years living and working in Europe. Now my path has brought me to Japan. For me, this exhibition therefore represents a point of transition: from one chapter of life to another, from Konstantin Plotnikov to Hikari Umihiko.
I warmly invite everyone who is drawn to fantasy, space, the ocean, mystery, and worlds that exist beyond everyday reality.
I will be very happy to meet you in Japan for the first time.
